Rescue from a TN Puppy Mill!

The National Mill Dog Rescue worked with Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue and Sanctuary to rescue dogs from a Mennonite puppy mill in Tennessee.   Thankfully for these dogs, a wonderful person decided to "Be That Somebody" and rescue these dogs from horrible conditions.  You can read about the puppy mill and conditions here, see photos of the dogs arriving at NMDR here and see their first official photos here.  Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing some of these survivors.  To know courage is to look into the eyes of these little souls who have never known love, yet will forgive all that and trust you to hold them tight and care for them.  They were all so gentle and loving and wanted so much to be loved and held.  That is courage and that is true forgiveness!

This is Mister...he now has a name.  He had never been groomed in his life. I got to take a picture of him before he hit the NMDR day spa and after.  Here he is:

And here are some of the others...all cleaned up and pretty!!
